How to Set Coaching Goals
Setting an appropriate goal is an important first step. If your coachee sets one they don’t care about, or that’s unsuitable in another way, it’ll be hard to achieve. But if you coach them to set a meaningful, appropriate goal, you’ll be off to a great start.

Goal setting doesn’t have to be tricky. This course will show you how to use the power of “Why?” and SMARTER to set meaningful goals. It’ll also teach you all the elements of the SMARTER acronym.
If your role has an element of coaching in it, you’ll benefit from learning more about SMARTER. Likely this means teachers, support staff and senior staff in your school. You can use it to support those you coach and help them work towards goals that are truly meaningful.
