Workplace Mental Health

Mental health is not taken as seriously as physical health, but it’s just as important. And if somebody in your business is suffering with mental health issues, it’s your duty to recognise the problem and get them the help they need. So, it’s vital that everyone understands that mental health is not a taboo subject. This course contains useful advice on mental health for everyone. And, if you’re a manager or team leader, it’ll equip you with the knowledge to assist those that come to you for help, and to spot signs of mental health issues at an early stage.

What you will learn

This course will explain the difference between mental health, and a mental health diagnosis, and explore how businesses can support mental health diagnoses. You’ll also discover ways to improve general mental wellbeing in your workplace, and how to have those difficult conversations about mental health, so everyone will be able to deal with issues not only effectively, but also with understanding and compassion.

About this course

Our health is something we’re all aware of, even if we try to push it to the back of our mind when we’re doing something like, say, tucking into a Chinese. We know about the physical stuff like broken bones, heart attacks, and breathing conditions.

But did you know that mental health is just as complicated as physical health, and requires similar treatment? It’s true. And if it’s not dealt with properly then it could cause serious issues down the line. This course will guide you through everything you need to know about mental health and what to do if a problem develops.

Engaging the learner

Mental health is something we all have, and all need to take care of, to keep us happy and functioning at our best. Because of this, we decided that this course didn’t need a fantastical theme, or superhuman character. It needed to be relatable, and real, to help everyone engage with the important learning within. So, we drew on the power of storytelling, and our own real-life experiences, to create an animated course that lets the learner gain lasting knowledge through memorable visual cues. Our interactive splash screens also give the learner a chance to take the course at their own pace, making sure they get as much out of the learning experience as possible.

Accessibility

Accessibility

Everyone has the right to learn and learner need can vary depending on environment or disabilities. To support this diversity, we provide transcripts so people have text options for media, alongside subtitles for all videos.

The course has been thoughtfully designed to be screen reader friendly with alternative text. We're committed to creating a user-friendly experience, with accessible visuals and easy-to-use navigation.
