There’s guidance to help you recognise those needs and respond well. But what is the SEND Code of Practice? Well, it’s in place to make sure everyone gets the best chance to succeed in their learning.

Who is this course for

This course will teach you about the principles of the SEND Code of Practice. You’ll learn about how to create a more inclusive educational environment and use the graduated approach to support students with SEND. It’ll also walk you through the four areas of need and how they align with the framework.

All teachers need to comply with the recommendations of the SEND Code of Practice, but this would be useful for school support staff, too.
