About this role

Purpose: This is a strategic but hands-on marketing leadership role focused on driving growth for iAM Compliant in the education sector. The Head of Marketing will lead the planning and delivery of a high-impact marketing strategy that resonates with schools and MATs, supports both new business acquisition and customer retention, and elevates the brand’s position in the EdTech space. Working closely with senior leadership, subject matter experts, and external partners, this role will own the CRM (HubSpot), content, campaigns, and website – turning insights into opportunity and creative into results. It’s a role for a commercially minded marketer who knows the education landscape and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.

Let’s cut to brass tacks. This is a hands-on role that suits someone who truly understands the audience and how to influence them, but also how to convert them into new business opportunity. It’s a fast-paced, strategic role for someone who knows EdTech and understands how to reach and engage with schools, speaking their language whilst doing so. You'll work with the business leaders & SMEs at a critical time in our growth, leading everything from messaging and planning to content, campaigns and performance. If you want the change to have an impact, be involved in the strategic decision-making and the chance to grow and shape something meaningful, then this is it.

What you'll be doing

  • Working with the SME at the heart of marketing, you will own and deliver the marketing strategy, aligned to growth goals, and school & MATs needs.
  • Lead key stakeholder relationships – internally and externally, with confidence, flexibility and clarity.
  • Take the role of Business Owner for our CRM – understand the business strategy and enable that through HubSpot. This will involve liaising with other key business stakeholders/users.
  • Manage our CRM (HubSpot) – introducing new workflows, ensuring contact data, automation, and GDPR compliance are spot-on.
  • Run marketing projects and campaigns – using Asana to collaborate, stay organised and efficient.
  • Own the website – keeping it fresh, effective, and aligned with brand, SEO and lead gen goals.
  • Collaborate with external agencies – to get the best out of SEO, creative and digital partners.
  • Plan and track the marketing budget – making every penny work hard and presenting a clear ROI where necessary.
  • Report on performance – with regular insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead content planning and creation – supported by our SEO and Creative teams.
  • Refine personas and messaging – ensuring everything we say truly speaks to schools.
  • Monitor market and marketing trends – and make sure we stay ahead of the game.
  • Collaborating with the commercial leads across the business to ensure that at the heart of what we do, opportunity generation is key, tracking MQL’s to SQL status.

What we're looking for

  • No egos are allowed – this is about collaboration and joint effort to achieve our lead generation and revenue targets.
  • Prepared to own the plan, but also recognises when the plan needs to flex and that there’s always a need to be agile and pivot for the right idea.
  • Think critically and maturely to analyse sales insights, customer needs, and market trends, uncovering the deeper "why" behind them to create more impactful content.
  • Develop persuasive and compelling messaging for the school market.
  • A proven track record in EdTech and/or marketing to schools.
  • Highly proficient in using HubSpot for CRM, reporting and automation.
  • Experience managing campaigns end-to-end, from planning to results.
  • A strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Budget and agency management experience.
  • A passion for education, innovation, and doing things differently.

Why work with us?

  • We’re building the best platform in the market – and schools love it.
  • We’re not your typical compliance company – and we never want to be.
  • We’re growing fast – and you’ll grow with us.
  • We’re remote-first – flexible, collaborative, and built on trust.
  • We’ve got a cracking team – smart people who care, share, and get things done.
  • If you’re ready to lead marketing for a standout EdTech brand and make a real impact in the education space, we’d love to hear from you.
